I was hired by Steve in late August of 1988. I started the end of September and was fortunate to assist Steve with the Head Coaching Search that produced Bill Snyder. I was with him in Coach Snyders house that Sunday in November when he convinced Coch Snyder to at least come visit campus. The rest is history. There was no better salesman than Steve. He also hired Dana Altman, who also has been named Conference Coach of the Year numerous times and National Coach of the Year as was Coach Snyder. Kansas State would not be what it is today if it was not for Steve Miller.
